The Classic Buffalo
The one that started it all. Butter, Frank's-style hot sauce, and our double-bake trick for skin that crackles. Ready in about an hour.
Chicken wing recipes, tested to death
We're Wingcraft — a two-person recipe studio that has cooked, sauced and eaten more than 2,000 batches of chicken wings so you don't have to guess. Crispy skin, bold sauces, zero pretension.
About the kitchen
Wingcraft started in 2019 in a rented apartment with a smoke alarm that went off way too often. What began as a weekend obsession — nailing the crunch without a deep fryer — turned into a full recipe journal, then a blog, then a small studio that develops wing recipes for restaurants and home cooks alike.
Every recipe on this site has been cooked at least a dozen times before it earns a spot. If a sauce splits, if the skin goes rubbery, if the timing lies — we say so, and we fix it before you ever see it.
What we cook
These are the recipes our readers make on repeat. Each one is written for real kitchens — no special equipment, no hard-to-find ingredients.
The one that started it all. Butter, Frank's-style hot sauce, and our double-bake trick for skin that crackles. Ready in about an hour.
Charred over open flame, then brushed with a sticky honey-garlic glaze that caramelizes in the last two minutes. Dangerously easy to scale up.
Three hours of gentle smoke, a paprika-coffee rub, and a tangy Alabama white sauce on the side. Our most requested recipe by a mile.
Soy, ginger and brown sugar reduced to a lacquer, finished with toasted sesame and scallion. Sweet, salty, and gone in minutes.
Why Wingcraft
Every recipe is cooked a minimum of twelve times across different ovens and grills before publication.
If you can't find it in a regular supermarket, it doesn't go in the recipe. Simple as that.
The clock starts when you start, marinade time included. No "30-minute meals" that quietly take two hours.
Each recipe ends with the mistakes we made, so you know exactly what to do when something looks off.
Word of mouth
"I ran a pub kitchen for twelve years and never found a buffalo recipe that held up at home. Wingcraft's double-bake method is the real deal — we now serve it as our Sunday special."
"I cook for three teenagers, so wings happen weekly. The sticky sesame glaze has officially ended the 'what's for dinner' debate in our house. The troubleshooting notes saved my first batch too."
"We licensed four recipes for our food truck menu. Clear instructions, scales perfectly to batch cooking, and their notes on holding crispy wings service were worth the fee alone."
